There’s definitely a dip in temperature, and I love it! But perhaps I’m the only one?
It’s getting busy here at WearWith as we prepare for our winter pop-ups. Meanwhile, Christmas decorations are already sitting beside Halloween displays in the shops. It gets earlier every year, yet I’ll still find myself saying, “It’s Christmas next week and I’ve so much to do!”
This October edit brings together a little pink, ideas for embracing the skirt, winter skincare reading and a comforting slow-cooker dinner. And there’s some lovely news about where you can find us in person.
A little pink for October

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In the newsletter, I shared Maura O’Neill’s Instagram account, where she’s wearing pink throughout the month and sharing style and health content.
For awareness information, visit Breast Cancer Ireland’s signs and symptoms resource.
We also have pink pure cashmere socks. If you’re organising a Breast Cancer Awareness Month fundraiser and need a prize, get in touch at karen@wearwith.co with the details. We’d be delighted to offer a pair.
Embracing the skirt with a soft cashmere knit

I’ve always had a huge soft spot for a skirt. The Prada runway coverage I shared gave me another reason to bring skirts into everyday winter dressing. I’m a maxi girl myself, but a great midi or pencil skirt deserves its place too.
Start with a soft knit. A structured skirt can feel a little formal on its own. Add a plain cashmere V-neck or crew-neck jumper and it immediately feels easier. I like a front or side tuck to give a little waist definition without looking too done.
Balance the proportions. With a full, floaty skirt, try a neater top. With a sleek skirt, let the knit be a little slouchier.
Let accessories do the talking. A necklace, faux shirt collar or cuffs can dress up a simple skirt-and-knit combination. Coloured tights are another lovely way to lift a monochrome outfit.
Play with colour. Try red with pink, or bright blue with navy and a flash of red tights. Winter dressing doesn’t have to mean putting colour away.
Winter skincare reading

For this month’s skincare reading, I shared Mount Sinai’s winter skin interview. It explores how colder weather affects skin and discusses everyday skincare routines. There’s a transcript if you prefer reading to listening.
A slow-cooker supper for cooler evenings
I’ve dusted off the slow cooker. Every year I promise myself I’ll have everything organised in the morning and dinner on at 7am. Every year, I do it less often than I intend!
First on my list is Bored of Lunch’s slow-cooker beef curry. My plan is to make enough for three dinners and freeze the extra portions. A little organisation now, a much easier evening later.
A Grey Cashmere collection update

Our October newsletter included an update on the Grey Cashmere sale. For current availability and pricing, browse the Grey Marl collection.
