Meet the Founder & A 20-Year Love Affair with Cashmere

My journey with cashmere didn't start with a business plan; it started with a cashmere jumper. about 25 years ago, my father was taking me shopping before I moved to London after University.  I still wear it today, its an oatmeal coloured, Joseph boat neck jumper - timeless. That one piece taught me the value of "forever fashion"—the idea that a well-made garment doesn't just last; it improves with age and I love the memories, my dad is no longer with us, but this jumper and the memory is. 

Cashmere, for me, was never just another fabric. It was the piece I reached for on cold Irish mornings, the layer I packed first for ski trips, the sweater that travelled everywhere with me and somehow looked better with time. It is practical, yes — but it is also deeply comforting and its about how it makes you feel. There is something about real, beautifully made cashmere that feels like quiet confidence.

As a mother of two and a lecturer in entrepreneurship at University College Dublin (UCD) for over 15 years, I understand the need for a "uniform" that works. I founded WEARWITH to solve the "nothing to wear" dilemma for women over 40. We don't do fast fashion. We create the "wardrobe heroes" that make getting dressed the easiest part of your day.
